My favorites

The intention of this page was to create little thoughts based upon the flower shop that I manage. Since that's not been a priority, I think it will have a better use as my space to list my favorite pic as they relate to my current obsession...knitting.

So here's my first:

someone asked my favorite flutterby, I'll tell you what it's not....BATS. Since living in our 130yr old house for the last 25 years, I've had 3 bats in the house....not enjoyable.

But I do love hummingbirds, their so very delicate movements are hypnotic. This is the Streamertail Hummingbird, isn't he charming. Can't you see long black slender feathers woven into a finished project to recreate his streamers.

The power of flowers is invincible. Succumb to serine greens, loose yourself in luscious lavenders, refresh with reds, feel the power of purple and the clarity of crisp blue. Indulge yourself and you can feel the power of flowers too.

Universities across the country have done studies through out the years and the findings are always the same. Flowers calm, exhilarate, refresh and invigorate. They have the ability to clear your mind and inspire creative genius. A vase of fresh blooms will help heal and bring tranquility while balancing serenity with stimulation.

Flowers and foliage are amazing creations of Mother Nature and you should indulge in some today!

Wishing you a blooming great day!
